Caustic soda lye is an almost colourless liquid. It is a strong alkali and is highly corrosive. Historically, alkalis were used for soap making and ceramic glazing, uses have now beenexpanded  to  include  neutralisation  of  acids,  hydrolysis,  condensation,  saponification,  alumina  production  and  as  an  aid  in  the  pulp  and  paper  industry  to  separate  cellulose  fibres from lignin.

A medium cut aromatic solvent. This aromatic tail is an important requirement for baking enamels commonly used by the automotive industry and other metal industries whose products require a durable high gloss finish. It is also used as a carrier for pesticides, especially chlorinated species. It is also used as a solvent in chlorinated rubber based swimming pool paints.

A heavy aromatic solvent. This high solvency, slow evaporating solvent is suited to many specialized coatings applications including can, coil and stoving enamels. It is used extensively in pesticides.

It is a wide cut, slow evaporating, mainly aliphatic solvent. Its primary use is in the paint industry, but its properties of solvency and volatility result in an extremely wide range of applications. These include industrial cleaning and degreasing, blanket washes for the printing ink industry and in polish manufacturing. FLUIDEN 1520 complies with the requirements of SABS 716, which is the standard specification for mineral turpentine (white spirits).

Fluiden 1528 is a wide cut aliphatic solvent which is used in paints and polishes where a slow drying rate is required. It offers some advantages over Fluiden 1520 (white spirits) in cleaning and general solvent usage, due to its slower rate of evaporation.

Hydrochloric acid is a colourless to slightly yellow solution of hydrogen chloride gas (30% m/m) in water and is one of the most widely used chemicals throughout industry. It is used for the manufacture of other chemicals and pharmaceuticals, refining and processing of sugars, synthetic rubber production, leather processing, pickling of metals, scale removing, metallurgical extraction processing and regeneration of cation resins.

In the form of an aqueous solution – is frequently used as an absorbent in gas scrubbing (amine scrubbing). In addition, Monoethanolamine is an intermediate chemical product in the manufacture of timber preservatives as well as tensides for detergents and cleaning agents. It also finds application as an organic solvent in the dye and pulp industry. Other fields of application include lubricants, textiles, cosmetics and pharmaceutical ingredients.

Predominantly used in the production of polyester, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and antifreeze. It is also used as a dehydrating agent, humectant and as an industrial solvent.

Used to produce chemicals used to manufacture polyester fabrics and fibers; acrylic plastics; pesticides; textile solvents; pharmaceuticals; and windshield wiper fluid.

Used as a solvent and an intermediate. The main application as a solvent is in flexographic and other printing inks. In the coatings industry, n-Propanol is a useful medium-volatility alcohol for improving the drying characteristics, e. g. of alkyd resins, electrodeposition paints and baking finishes. It is added to cleaners, floor polishes and metal degreasing fluids and is used as an additional solvents in the manufacture of adhesives.
